Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular California Coast
A chopper flying over a popular California beach unexpectedly started spinning wildly, eventually losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers watched.
Videos shared on social media capture the helicopter commencing to spiral over the beach then falling in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a staircase adjacent to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
Local firefighters said five people were rushed to the hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on Saturday.
Three people on the pavement were harmed. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
