Police End Operation for Young Boy Missing in Australia's Outback

Australia's police have suspended the operation for a four-year-old child who has been lost in the remote area for almost three weeks, after fresh efforts failed to locate any signs of the child.

The child was spotted playing outside his home on a secluded farmland near Yunta, about 186 miles from Adelaide, on September 27th.

His grandmother left him alone for about thirty minutes before looking for him, only to find the child nowhere to be found, initiating one of the biggest ground and aerial missions in the region's past.

Present Position

Police - who do not believe criminal activity - say they will carry on examining, but that the matter has become a "recovery mission".

Last week, police temporarily wound down the operation, only to recommence it on Tuesday alongside 80 Australian Defense Force staff.

"Spokesperson the commissioner said police were searching a more extensive zone based on revised assessments from survival and search professionals, rather than any recent developments."
