The Prince of Wales Set to Attend COP30 Climate Summit in South America

Prince William plans to participate in the United Nations climate conference in Brazil during November, as confirmed by the royal household.

Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday night at a reception ahead of the climate summit, which is set to be held in the Amazonian city of Belém.

Father and son were participating in the museum gathering, marking an rare public appearance together at a pre-COP30 gathering co-hosted by the United Kingdom administration.

Climate Leadership Commitment

The King has been a consistent supporter of biodiversity preservation - and the Prince of Wales has assumed the responsibility, with his own climate innovation awards, which will be taking place in South America preceding the COP summit.

Official representatives have portrayed Prince William's attendance at the upcoming climate summit as assuming an crucial position in "climate diplomacy".

Previous Activities

The King and Prince of Wales, making a joint entrance in the royal vehicle, were greeted guests including environmentalists, scientists, environmental activists, diplomats and politicians.
